Jerusha Jerome, RN, CRNI, CLNC

As a Registered Nurse licensed in both Oregon and Washington with twenty two years of Nursing experience.  I take pride in advocating for patients to get the care that they need and educating them of their rights to informed consent. As a legal nurse consultant, I take pride in assisting clients to make informed decisions about their medical-legal cases.

As a Home Infusion Team Lead RN I work within a multidisciplinary team as a leader. A brief summary of my daily work includes the following roles: Hospital Liaison RN, Patient and Clinician Educator, Medical records auditor and reviewer, RN Referral Coordinator, and Resource RN. I create and coordinate transition plans to get patients home from hospitals or outpatient clinics into their homes with home infusion therapy services.  As a CRNI RN I am consulted for advice, resources, and expertise in triaging patient care involving central line complications and IV medication complications.   I provide these services for a wide variety of patients and providers within a large healthcare system that operates within the Portland, Salem, Vancouver, and Longview areas. Because of my CRNI certification in 2022, I have had the opportunity to serve as a subject matter expert on an Infusion Policies and Procedures committee. I have also had the opportunity to provide literature review services for the 2024 9th edition of the Infusion Therapy Standards of Practice.

Certifications Held

As a Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI®) I am an exceptional nurse determined to push myself to be ahead of the curve and on top of the newest developments in the infusion nursing field in order to ensure the best possible patient care. The CRNI® is exposed to the newest advances and latest developments, technologies, and techniques within the infusion nursing specialty. CRNI®s are part of a global community of elite nurses from across multiple disciplines, including home care, pediatrics, oncology, and many more, who’ve demonstrated through certification that they are the most informed, and most highly qualified infusion nursing specialists. A CRNI® is, first and foremost, an advocate for improving patient care.

The National Alliance of Certified Legal Nurse Consultants (NACLNC) supports registered nurses who work as legal nurse consultants (LNCs), providing medical expertise for legal cases. It offers certification, continuing education, and networking to enhance their professional skills and credibility. LNCs help attorneys with medical records and healthcare standards, often working on cases like medical malpractice and personal injury. NACLNC serves as a bridge between the medical and legal fields.
